PLANT FOR DETERMINATION OF ATTRITION OF FCC CATALYSTS BY AIR JETS ACCORDING TO ASTM D5757-11

1.1    Plant for Determination of Attrition of FCC Catalysts by Air Jets (further – the plant) designed to determine the comparative characteristics of attrition of FCC by friction of an air jet according to ASTM D5757-11.

1.2    Other powder catalysts can be analyzed using this plant, but it should be noted that the accuracy of this method was approved only for FCC catalysts.

1.3    The method is applied to spherical or irregular particles with a size of 10 to 180 microns, having a skeletal density of 2.4 to 3.0 g / cm3 (2400-3000 kg / m3) and insoluble in water.

2.1    Plant is a compact modular construction designed for operation in a dry, heated room with forced ventilation.

2.2    The electrical safety installation is corresponding to the requirements of class 1 type N by GOST 12.2.025-76.

2.3    The average service life of the installation is 5 years..

2.4.    Specifications are given in table. 1
